Hi, I'm Allison! Based out of Golden, CO, I am a photographer who loves to help tell your most important stories.
My story
My interest in photography is long standing (middle school scrapbooker here), but moving to Colorado was the inspiration I needed to pursue it more intently. I was always the friend carrying around a camera when we went backpacking or climbing or skiing - all those photos ended up on this very famous image sharing website…called Facebook…but I really fell in love with how people reacted to the photos that I took of them. Friends would use my photos as profile pictures and share on their instagrams and it was seriously the best feeling in the world, to know I could capture all the good moments that may have passed by too quickly.
So eventually I started second shooting weddings for a good friend in 2016 and landed my first solo wedding in 2018. When I started, I thought I really just wanted to focus on couples and weddings, specifically those who were opting for a non traditional wedding - aka “adventure elopement.” While I still very much LOVE these (count me in!!), I have recently felt like it was time to rethink my “specialty” because it has evolved over the past 5 years. I find myself making the time (and seeking out) not just ALL types of weddings but also stories worth telling beyond wedding day. I will always say yes to everything that lands on my door because I actually love it ALL.
Many famous photographers would say - pick a specialty and stick to it! Ok I hear you…and I understand you. But hear ME out…what if my specialty is just…”photographer.” Maybe I can even go so far as to say I specialize in photographing life. I like the sound of that.
So - here I am today. A photographer of life. I'm looking for people who want to share a piece of their life with me. It would be my honor to document it all.
